Custom Furniture Projects for Hardware Stores and DIY Stores

In a hardware store or home improvement store, the shelving must be designed to organize a comprehensive, technical catalog featuring products in a wide variety of formats. Hand tools, fasteners, paint, adhesives, machinery, gardening supplies, electrical supplies, plumbing supplies, and safety accessories all require a clear, durable, and easy-to-navigate display.

The key is to create a space where customers can quickly find what they’re looking for, compare products, and easily access items that often require a specific purchase. To achieve this, it’s important to use sturdy shelving, versatile display systems, well-marked areas, and solutions capable of withstanding weight, high turnover, and constant restocking.

Solutions for stores carrying technical, heavy, and fast-moving merchandise

At Kider, we design furniture for hardware stores and DIY stores, taking into account the complexity of these types of retail locations. These are spaces where small, precision products coexist with larger tools, heavy items, consumables, machinery, paint, electrical supplies, plumbing supplies, gardening supplies, and security products. Each category requires a different way of being displayed and a solution that makes both finding and restocking products easier.

Our process allows you to turn your idea into reality

01

Advice

We begin by analyzing the type of store, the customer profile, and the product lineup. In a hardware store or a DIY store, highly technical products, small-sized items, bulky tools, heavy materials, consumables, and items that require clear display to facilitate customer choice are all found side by side.

We also analyze customer flow patterns within the store, service areas, high-traffic zones, and areas where shelf capacity needs to be increased. Using this information, we establish a framework that allows us to organize products more effectively, streamline assisted sales, and make the most of every area of the store.

02

Design

Based on the initial analysis, we developed a proposal tailored to the store’s actual operations. We organized shelving units, wall displays, counters, tool panels, promotional areas, spaces for small accessories, and specific solutions for categories such as paint, electrical supplies, plumbing, gardening, and machinery.

The goal is to create a practical, durable, and user-friendly space where customers can quickly find what they need and the staff can work comfortably while restocking, advising customers, and making sales.

03

Development

Before beginning production, we develop the project using 3D renderings that allow us to review the store’s entire layout. This phase helps us verify the placement of product categories, the accessibility of items, the height of the shelves, service counters, and areas designated for heavy or bulky products.

This allows us to fine-tune the design with greater precision, plan for improvements, and ensure that the furniture aligns with both the business’s brand image and the operational requirements of a hardware store or home improvement store.

04

Manufacturing

We manufacture our furniture at our three production facilities in Spain, selecting materials and finishes designed to withstand heavy use, high loads, and frequent replacement.

We directly monitor quality, finishes, and production timelines to ensure solutions that are sturdy, durable, and consistent with the approved project. In this sector, the strength and stability of the furniture are just as important as the product’s visual design.

05

Implantation

We coordinate the preparation, transportation, and assembly of store fixtures, ensuring that each item is installed according to the specified layout. Our team precisely installs shelving units, wall displays, counters, display cases, technical panels, and service areas.

A well-executed implementation allows the store to begin operating with a clear structure, better-organized products, and a more convenient shopping experience for both business and individual customers.

06

After-sales

After installation, we continue to support our customers with specialized after-sales service. We address any adjustments, expansions, or needs that may arise once the space is in use.

We also offer maintenance plans to preserve the durability, stability, and good condition of the furniture, helping the store maintain its functionality and image over time.
